Oh Right Crap Okay Oops Okay

... Did you miss us?

If you've just been watching the site for the last few years, you probably just assumed Kaz and I up and died or something. That's... not quite the case, but a lot has happened, so let's cover the basics. If you don't care about the cliff notes, though, just know that Lonely Hooves is running again after a too-long hiatus brought about by life circumstances and medical issues, and that I've finally slapped another batch of pages up onto the site here with the intention of doing so about weekly until things catch up to where we are.

Sound good? Good. Lovely.

For the more invested among you, the long and short of it is that financial stress hit hard, then unemployment hit hard, and from then to now self-employment has been our primary means of paying our bills, a task we remain consistently underprepared for. It's rough, but more stable right now than it's been in a couple years now, so that's something.

Kaz has recently regained a level of victory over her medical condition to get back to working on art herself, though, so with my partner in crime back in action and me honestly not having much left to lose at the moment, we've gotten right back to work on our weird little baby over here. (Seriously, she wasn't even home and at her desk for a week before wanting to get back to it!)

Part of this return has involved getting back to the website, as the audience of my work has certainly shifted in recent years, leaving many people discovering the story for the first time and wanting a better way to read and engage with it than fighting with DA's constant ads for generative AI and broken pagenav links (thanks, Ecclipse!) Consequently, it seems pretty imperitive that we get back to building up this hosting platform we set up back in... good God, 2020?? Oh, man. I am so sorry!!

Anyway, as stated above, I'm aiming for weekly chunk uploads of nice little bits of story (at least something like one or two highlights in the chapter index, which I've also addressed a couple little bugs with while I'm back here tinkering anyway). We also need to update our author avatars and, uh... well, just try to ignore all the dead-naming hovering around my old sona. The new one's cuter. You'll love her!

So stay tuned! We're doing weekly updates on DA for chapter 4, and I'm hoping to catch the site up relatively quick as we go. We are stubborn beyond all reason and refuse to let this story die. Thank you for your patience!
